About the Psilocybin Alliance

The organized voice working to protect and improve Oregon’s regulated psilocybin program.

Why we exist

Oregon pioneered the nation’s first regulated psilocybin services program. Its first years of operation have created something equally important: real-world evidence about what the system does well, where it creates unnecessary barriers, and what must change for it to endure.

The Psilocybin Alliance exists to turn that experience into organized action. We bring together people across Oregon’s regulated ecosystem to advocate for sound rules, sustainable program economics, meaningful public participation, and thoughtful reform.

We support the promise of regulated psilocybin services while insisting that regulation remain accountable to the people operating within the system and the people the program is intended to serve.

Our role in Oregon psilocybin

The Alliance connects frontline experience, credible evidence, and public-policy action.

Regulatory advocacy

We participate in agency rulemaking, examine proposed requirements and fees, advocate for transparency, and bring practical licensee experience into the public record.

Program sustainability

We focus attention on affordability, access, operating costs, license attrition, responsible business practices, and the long-term health of Oregon’s regulated model.

Legislative and ballot reform

When problems arise from the law itself, we support carefully developed statutory reforms shaped by evidence and the lessons of implementation.

Protect today. Reform for tomorrow.

Some challenges can be addressed through agency accountability, better rules, transparent analysis, and meaningful public participation. Others require lawmakers—or ultimately Oregon voters—to reconsider parts of the statutory framework.

The Alliance connects those two horizons. We work to protect the existing program from avoidable harm while building a stronger version of Oregon psilocybin for the future.
